What does it look like and what does it say????

go back to your harvard forum

she and several others from ILR that were rejected but got GT just want to compare the two letters.

We are providing you with our decision on your application for admission to Cornell University. We regret to have to tell you that we are unable to offer you admission to Cornell.

This electronic message is not your official notification. You should be receiving an official letter from us in the mail shortly.

We understand that this is not the news you were hoping to hear from Cornell. Given our very large and competitive applicant pool, it is not possible to offer admission to all candidates who would benefit from a Cornell education. If you would like information about transferring to the university after freshman year, please visit: http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/.

We wish you the best.

Hmm... so Cornell invites those who were not admitted to re-apply as transfer applicants. BTW: thanks for posting the letter.

i believe there's 2 diff letters, one "inviting" you to apply to transfer, and one that guarentees a transfer spot if you want (what i got)

"In this letter, you will learn that the college is offering you a guaranteed transfer option."

what colleges offer "guarantee transfer"?

Yes VERY VERYYYY different things.

Well, I am really INTERESTED to transfer to CORNELL but I got the inviting to transfer reject letter..........
Is there any international student getting the "Guaranteed" letter?

Anyone knows since when did Cornell started this GT option?
