Melsmom
you are very kind- I've been a lurker/absorber here-- My son is pursuing more acting programs than MT , but the info over here is incredible!!- He has some acceptances, thankfully- funny how those rejections get in your craw a little-Ah life lessons!

Welcome. As you know from reading this forum, you are in good company...everyone here knows the feeling. Something good will come out of it. Good luck and keep posting!

And more tears. My daughter did not get into Penn State. She auditioned this past weekend. So, good luck to all that were there with her.

Dear Cindy
So sorry to hear. How did you find out did you get a letter? We haven't heard anything but I did hear from someone who was accepted that was with our daughters last weekend. I'm afraid to tell my d as she has an audition for Buffalo tomorrow and I don't want to upset her, but I feel so sad. I don't know if no news is good news but this whole process is so stressful and can be so disheartning. I am routing for you d. Does she have any safeties? I'm beginning to think that we probably don't. Try to have a nice weekend. It's so hard to figure out what's meant to be. I tend to be a fatealist but I don't know what to think about this competitive field.

Cindy,

I am sorry about the rejection letter for your daughter! This is such a tough area with just so many good kids! I hope that the right program comes along soon for your daughter. Wishing for good news for you both soon!!!

Cindy, sorry to hear that your daughter got a rejection letter. My daughter's should be on the way, she did not get interviewed. She was at the same audition. Hopefully there will be good news eventually. When the students spoke at PSU they said they applied to something like 14 schools and rejected from all but 3 or 4. I know this is a long wait.

Well, everyone should just keep plugging away. I do believe something good will come for everyone. It's stressful and it's hard to get that rejection especially when you work so very hard over and over again... but... it is a small pool of people they choose so I really do believe the "look" is VERY important. As much as they tell you different things and especially about being a triple threat, I am not so sure they mean that. Anyway, on to the next set of auditions with the hopes that something wonderful will come our way. Good luck to all of you and thanks so much for your well wishes!
