politrix, our stats are the same, WHAT HAPPENED?!. Do you count calc1 and calc2 as a pre-req for econ? I think that is what screwed me over as I had B's in both.

Yea, I counted Calc 1 and Calc 2 as pre-reqs. I got A's in both and an A in Macroeconomics and I'm taking Micro right now which I'll most likely get an A in as well. I only got 1 C and 1 B and they were my first semester. I got a 4.0 2nd and 3rd semester. If I get rejected from Cal as well, I'll probably appeal them both.

I guess I'm a bit desensitized to find humor in the suicide joke. =T

I have a question about transferring- is it possible to transfer after one year at a JC, so that you'd be transferring as a sophomore? In particular, I'd like to know about the UCs, because that's where I'm headed.

I don't know much about general education and classes at JCs either, so help on those would be nice. Thanks!

i don't think getting rejected from ucla is worth committing suicide. first to guard urself against this kind of stupid crime against ur relatives and GOD, develop some self-esteem. it's better to be overly stuck-up and atrociously distugustingly arrogant than a self-pitying *******.

guys, if u want to cope with this trivial inconvenience, start asking charizard for some advise. he gave me some great ones that helped to cope with the stress of not becoming president of united states after bill clinton and the pope after john paul 2.

I got into UCLA, but I am not happy now.
Because my best friend was rejected.
I know she worked really hard, and she was supposed to be in.
Here is her stat.
Does anyone think she has a chane if she appeals?
If so, please tell me what I can do for her.
Thanx,

Major: Econ
GPA: 3.87
TAP: No
IGETC: compleeting this semester.
Pre-req: compleeting this semester.

It's seems like way too many people applied to Econ this year which could explain all the rejections. But then again, this forum is just a small representation so I suppose it's hard to say. It also seems like there are a lot of TAP people.

It TOOK forever for one of my teachers to write my letter at rec, but at least its the BEST and most personal one, from my jc teacher of two years who teaches psyc, which is my major, so I guess it was worth the wait.

My appeal letter is two pages long, do i staple it??? I really have no idea and if so, right or left side?

looks like stanford, brown and university of chicago's decisions will be coming this week. as a result, i'll likely be frequenting this thread next week :P
