Rejection Thread

<p>I dont want to flaunt acceptance to much. So I thought it would be nice to have a thread for those of us that where less fortunate. If you want to state how hard you worked to get in, or how angry (etc), or if you plan to transfer next year, anything.</p>

<p>If there is anything I know, it is that their is no Rhyme or Reason to anything in this process. Acceptance seems to be quite random. I know when I visited Bowdoin, the students where very diverse (academically). Some where validictorians, and some where just average people like most of us. I learned not to take the schools that I was rejected from personally. I am pretty sure the same exists for Bates and other top-notch colleges</p>

<p>It's amazing. You can't spell but you were accepted. My daughter has a 4.0 and 2150 SATs and was waitlisted. No kidding that there's no rhyme or reason. I'm glad for you--and maybe you play a mean oboe, but wow!</p>

<p>congrats to you. ill respond. over my spring break all at once i recieved all of my decisions. 6 to 0. of the schools i wanted to get into i was rejected from 6. but thats k. i luckily had applied to random schools and have some still pending. but yeah. decisions are random. not mine. my application was strong enough for tha schools i wanted 2 go 2. but so is life. congrats tho to you for whichever school u were accepted too. ur right...rejection shouldnt b taken personally but rather used to motivate you. :)</p>

<p>Well, I am sorry, but I accidently posted this in the wrong thread. This was meant to go into the Bowdoin section, the school which I was rejected from.
I did not want to intentionally offend or ridicule someone with a thread like this. I am dreadfully sorry I did not pay attention while I was posting. I spent alot of time in the Bowdoin thread, and I thought it hurt alot to see everyone accepted. I wanted to meet the other students that were also declined admissions to Bowdoin so that I could see how others, besides I, were taking it. </p>

<p>I applied to four schools and was rejected by three.</p>

<p>susie22, I sorry if your daughter was not accepted into the school of her choice. I sympathize for her or anyone who where not accepted into their choice school. Most of my friends, including I, where not accepted into their choice school. I have spent many hours talking, chatting and disscusing college choice on these boards. Its very unfortunate that many people including I , spend most of our time trying to cheer people up about what they may preceve to be an unforunate future (it never is). This is why I began to use the "no ryhme or reason" scheme. It is very true</p>

<p>that said, your daughter may not have been accepted into the college you are talking about, but that is no reason to take what seems to be a pessimistic and rather insulting tone. I have spent hours communicating over the internet, and I know from experiance that arguments on the boards are useless since they usually start from mis-communication, or in this case, posting errors.
However, if your intentions are true, and you have intentionally tried to insult me, than I hope that your demeanour, and quite frankly, your immature response, does not reflect your daughters character. For if it does, your daughter, from what I know about these colleges, probably would not fit in. And if its true, my once firm belief in "no rhyme or reason", would be disproved.</p>

<p>Once again, I hope, and I trust, that your daughter will be happy whereever she lands up.</p>

<p>sorry, you dont have to apologize. I placed this thread in the wroung section. It came off kind of ...left handed anyways. My fault, I apologize. I already sent a messege to the mods, hopefully they can delete this thread or move it to the bowdoin section (which I doubt would make a difference now since everyone recieved their letters)</p>

<p>haha yes! omg thats so funny cuz i just happened to be looking at the bowdoin thing and i usually am not-- and then i saw that krocket had just replied to this adn i was like ohhhh krocket i know who that is. heehee....</p>
