rejection??

anyone? so far i haven't heard of anyone being rejected from irvine. looks like it's getting easier. my stats aren't even that great and it was my first acceptance. i'm choosing uc davis over it though. go aaggggs.

what r u talking about? at least a dozen of my classmates got rejection letters.

I know alot of people who got rejected from UCI, very disappointed bunch. But according to collegeboard.com UCI's acceptances went up from 55% to 60% this year. UC Davis went up from 53%(??) to 61%.

^i think ucsb's acceptance rate went down though

I don't know 1 person in my school who got rejected. About 60 or so got in.

People at my school don't seem to be very interested in UCI. I know 1 who got rejected (got into SD though) and 1 who got in.

actually davis' the one that went from 55% to 61% and irvine 53% to 60%. anyways, back to the topic...a friend of mine got regected from irvine and got into ucsd. another one got rejected from both ucd and uci but got into ucsd, lucky bastard :)

No one from my D's school in Nor Cal wants to go to UCI, UCSC, or UCSD. Everyone is going to either, UCLA, CAL, UCSB, UCD or USC. Excluding of course the kids going to Harvard, Georgetown, Yale, Princeton and Stanford. :)

i got rejected the 29th...

I guess it's hard to leave your area if you live in NorCal or SoCal. I heard so much about UC Davis and after being there I realized that UCI would be the better fit for me.

^
why is that blinkblink? can you share some of the things you dislke about the UCD campus?

Well I guess it was partially because of the horrible weather. I know that all the rain was actually uncharacteristic of the area at the time but it was a huge turn off. Also, I thought the campus was confusing haha. I thought the area was beautiful and all but I don't think I was ever the small-town girl type. It's also kinda heartwrenching when your mom is trailing behind you, trying to point out every negative thing possible, trying to convince you to go to school near home. When it comes down to it, Davis seems like a fantastic school, but it is just too far (8 hours!) that's why I'll go to UCI. After a week of independence, it'll be nice to come home whenever I want and there's hot food waiting for me and I still wouldn't have to do my own laundry :b

great thanks! that's the same reason why i'm going to ucd but if i were to come from the so cal i would've probably made the same decision about the southern schools.
