Not via school website/portal, but an actual email.

I haven’t, and I’ve gotten almost all of my decisions.

Yes. We’ve received rejections by email. Some include a PDF attachment. The postal mail (the small thin envelope) follows in a few days based on last year’s experience.

@payn4ward thanks for answering. One of the schools my son applied to tweeted this morning for all prospective students to check their emails. We have no email from them in either mine or his email (checked spam and all that) so I assumed that meant rejection was coming via snail mail. Another parent suggested I call which is probably a good idea, I’m just afraid of that awkward, on the phone, “yeah he didn’t get in…” moment, lol. I hate confrontation.

Not by email. It’s been portal.

Well, I’d wait until end of the day. If nothing comes and if their date was M10, then I’d call tomorrow.

It doesn’t sound the situation is good… Hope you have good news from other schools!

yeah, that’s what I figured too. I’ll wait until tomorrow or Wednesday to ask if we haven’t heard anything. At least to have that closure. Still nothing from either of the other 3 schools either. I’m getting way too anxious.

Why not email them (to avoid the phone call)? Just say, as they instructed, you checked your email, but hadn’t heard anything.

I’m doing that now, actually. Just want to get it over with.

I got two.

@stargirl3 okay, that’s good to know. Thanks!

ItsNotHogwarts: it would only be confrontational if you responded with hostility as opposed to graciousness. I’m sure that would not happen.

Email sent to director of admissions. No hostility included. I’ll report if/when I hear back. They may not reply if rejection letter is planned to arrive in the regular mail today.

Update - just got the official rejection in the mail.

My daughter received admission rejections from Hotchkiss, Loomis & Emma Willard. Best of luck

I got one rejection by mail. The other was through a portal. School emailed instructions for the portal a week prior.

I got rejected/wait listed through both email and portal.

I got wait listed through email. It was a bit we like you, but we like other people more, although I don’t know what I expected from a waitlist.
