Rejections/Waitlists

To all of you who got bad news today,

I was in your position last year when I got wait-listed from my favorite school. I was absolutely devastated. From the time that I visited the campus to the time I got my letter, I had managed to convince myself that this was THE place for me. Although I got into some other places, nothing else mattered at the time.

After I cooled off from that, I began to think sensibly and decided to go to a private school in my area. I could NOT be happier. You're probably thinking, well, maybe she didn't love that school like I did. I did, haha I wanted to go there so badly. But here, in my second year of high school at this private school, I can honestly say I am glad I ended up at home.

This is not to say, however, that boarding school is bad. I think I would've been happy there too. The bottom line of this rambling post is this:

I checked the forum today because its march 10th and my heart sunk a bit when I thought about how all of you are feeling at the moment.

to those of you accepted: CONGRATULATIONS!

to everyone else: you'll be fine, this may seem like a huge deal now, but things work out for a reason, especially with this. This doesn't make you an inadequate student or kid.

:)

thank you, it helps to have somebody who has gone through the same thing.
