<p>Has anyone received a rejection letter from Thornton School of Music? Has anyone been accepted who was NOT offered a music scholarship (specifically clarinet performance)? I'm assuming students hear from Thornton directly and may not be getting the "big envelope" from USC admissions. If you're rejected as a music major, are you notified first before you either get accepted or rejected into your alternate major?</p>
<p>Students have been accepted to Thornton (piano) who were nominated for USC scholarships (Presidential/Trustee) and not (so far) music scholarships. The acceptance is from USC, and there is also a letter from Thornton. This took place several weeks ago (letter dated Feb. 2).</p>
<p>My friend received a rejection two weeks ago... for the tuba doctoral program.</p>
