rejeeeeected. try next year?

I wanted to go to UCLA soooooo bad :(

rejected
3.5 gpa
pre-psych
finish preq and igetc done at the end of this semester
some EC.
good essays
2nd year
62 units

am I crazy to wait and try again next year?
i might take some time off or focus on EC and boosting my grades

are there any 3rd year transfer students who got accepted??

yeah i am, i got rejected last year but in this year.

I was rejected last year because I was 2 credits short. If I decided to transfer, I would’ve gone to San Jose State.

This year, I’ve already gotten into UCLA. UCB pending.

The moral of this story is: YES, TRY AGAIN NEXT YEAR, IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. I’m so glad I did. I’m so proud of myself right now.

wooow that’s great to hear, congrats
what were your stats?

do they look down on 3rd year transfers though?

if you get rejected from a major like haas or biz econ can you still apply the next year and still have a chance/improve your chance of getting in? (assuming you finished all the pre-reqs)

what happen if you’re a third year student and got rejected? should I try the fourth year for ucla?

bjt: i don’t think 4th year would matter AS LONG AS you don’t have more than a certain number of credits… don’t remember what the cut off is, look it up. but basically you can’t transfer in as a senior.

gotta weight the opportunity cost buddy. is it worth it to spend that extra year at a cc for ucla?

I’m a third year transfer  I did what you’re doing (except I didn’t apply my second year), I made the most of my last year and got in this year

Go for it man!! Have fun at your CC, seriously, they can be great places if you make the most out of them :D

I actually got rejected on my 2nd year and I reapplied on 3rdyear and I got in… Do not lose HOPE!

That is seriously great to hear you guys!
I might go for the 3rd year as well, work on grades preq and an amazing application first semester then travel for the second  i had a good chance of getting in though so tomorrow morning i’ll be calling admissions and seeing whats up.

Appeal!! You never know, good lucka ll you guys…

Any more people get in for their 3rd year or have information to share?
