Related rate Problems

They suck

Now discuss

They suck because you have to apply ALL YOUR KNOWLEDGE from all different areas of geometry and algebra, as in knowing ratios for cylinders.

Ooh, I like them :] Sorry except not.

They shouldn't be hard if you're in Precalculus or Calculus, you'd know already how to apply it.

awww, i kinda like related rates...

Well, I like them too but I just stated what is hard :)

They've been the easiest thing so far in Calculus, imo. Once you get it, you never get one wrong.

If you understood math, instead of trying to memorize formulas, they would be simple.

Nah, I just had been doing a bunch of em for a while. I'll admit their pretty easy. They are just a pain in bulk.

haha i just had a test on them on monday :)
it took forever for me to figure out implicit differentiation though...

implicit differentiation for me was easy. Higher derivates though, oh my god.

we should team up :P

Implicit differentiation was extremely easy for me, even though I missed day chain rule was taught on -- figured out from examples teacher was solving.
Beside that, calc goes pretty easy, except maybe from where they start to analyze ranges for other trig. functions (sec, csc) -- I skipped pre-calc :)

AP Calc is by far my favorite class. :)

My teacher rules, I sit there, watch him do examples, I do my homework during seminar (and finish it) and I get 95+% on like all the tests. Cheers. I love having good teachers.

Let's not talk about AP econ though :(

I'm finding ap stat harder than ap calc.

wow, all you guys are on related rates, chainrule, etc.

my ap calc class hasn't even begun to start on derivitaves yet, probably b/c the teacher spent an eternity reviewing trig, logs, and other precalc

in response to guguru...

ap stats is my easiest class,
ap calc was my second hardest...
but is now my third easiest (out of 6) :)
