Relationships outside your boarding school?

Isn't it true that you can have a relationship outside your boarding school?

Like, if you go to boarding school is it hard to have a relationship with someone who goes to public school nearby? You can get in touch by SMS, email and seeing each other on the weekends and after school...right?

Disucss.

This is really worrying my friend. She is going to an all-girl's boarding school a while away from her old public school and she thinks she and her boyfriend have to break up or something.

they are sometimes quite difficult to maintain...i haven't had the greatest luck myself. but a lot of people at my boarding school kept up their out-of-school relationships throughout the year...i guess it depends on the person.

Yeah, but how often do you go out with your bf if you're in boarding school? I mean, you can meet them in a restaurant outside school everyday and stuff right?

How is the dating scene different?

Most of the people I know who have bfs or gfs outside of school use phone/email/IM to communicate and see each other over winter and spring breaks...so it's more of a long distance thing. However, these usually don't work... I would say the majority of relationships are within the school itself.
BUT...if the public school is NEARBY...it might be easier to see each other... on weekends, etc. My school is pretty lenient in terms of getting off campus. but then again, it depends on the school rules... and i don't know anyone personally in this situation...=/ sorry i can't be of more help!
