Relatively cheap community colleges.

Hi,

Do you guys know of any community colleges that do not cost an arm and a leg? I'm talking about under $15,000/year. (including housing, etc.)

Thanks!

There are a number of decent 4-year public universities that are in your price range. Two that I know of are:
[University of Minnesota Morris | About Morris](About UMN Morris | University of Minnesota Morris)
[Bemidji State University](http://www.bemidjistate.edu/)

You can search for community colleges by state here:

[U.S. Community Colleges, by State](<a href=“Log in with Atlassian account”>Log in with Atlassian account)

You can also search for kinds of schools and tuition/fee costs with [College MatchMaker - Type of School](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board) “Two-year”, “Public”, and “Out-of-State Tuition Less than $5,000” produces a list of 290 colleges.

You have a lot of options.

Housing costs vary quite a lot from region to region. If you look at comm. colleges in rural areas, or low cost-of-living areas, or depressed housing areas, you’ll at least find inexpensive housing.

In the link provided by happymomof1 I found Lake Land college in Matoon, IL, as an example of a school in the ‘middle of nowhere’ but in the same region as some good schools. Parkland in Champaign IL is of course near UIUC and would be near plenty of student housing. These are just examples.
