Yeah, I'm gonna agree with effulgent and nbachris. I can't stand people who like finding unknown music just for the cool/'scene' factor and who disown their old music just because everyone else suddenly likes it. I liked Linkin Park back when the were called Hybrid Theory and had nothing but a few mp3s, but I didn't get mad when they went mainstream. I actually thought it was a good thing because the mosh pits at their concerts got bigger and better. But anyways... who am I to deny someone music recommendations?

Inspection 12

Circa Survive
and for an old spin on a new twist, check out all the Yellowcard CDs that came out BEFORE Ocean Avenue (One for the Kids, The Underdog EP, ect.) because they're amazing.

I adore classical music. My favorite "band"--or better known as symphony orchestra--is Vienna Philharmonic.

Just an honest question here: Can anybody, except for people like Leonard Bernstein, tell the difference between the philharmonics of various cities? I can tell the difference between the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, even if they play the same songs, but the Chicago and the NY Philharmonic?

Yes'm, dispatch is awesome. Also modest mouse, but I hope most of you guys have heard of them. Hmm...What else is in my library...Ah, phish, cake, the flaming lips, elvis costello (a man, not a band), and interpol.

I love Waking Ashland. Dunno if they're "emo" or "unpopular" but in my opinion, they're awesome.

I also love Mae, Jacks Mannequin, Death Cab for Cutie, Rise Against, The Arcade Fire, Augustana, Dead Poetic, Third Eye Blind, Something Corporate, Audioslave, Motion City Soundtrack. Some of them are REALLY typical/popular I know, but I like em :)

Don't know what type of music but I also suggest the soundtracks of Phantom of the Opera & Garden State. All songs on there are amazing.
