So I'm applying to Columbia and have a cousin who went there a few years ago. My question is, how would it affect my application to list her in the Columbia supplement? Would they be less likely to admit me since they want diversity, or more likely because it's sort of a legacy? Or would it have no effect at all? I just don't want to decrease my chances by listing my cousin if I don't have to.
Thanks!

It would likely have no effect. It certainly wouldn’t hurt your chances though.
