Does Smith have any Christian communities? Would a (pretty devout, but not super politically conservative) Christian have any place at Smith?
What is the rest of the culture like at Smith?
Thank you!

I would think that as long as you are not evangelizing, you would be ok. I don’t know in particular what the christians are like at Smith. I think you would find them to be rather progressive but that is conjecture. I think there are several churches in walking distance should you not find you mesh with the campus groups.
Have you looked at these?

My daughter is very involved in our church. She is a member of United Church of Christ. We were up for a few days including a weekend to look at area colleges. She ended up falling in love with Smith so she chose to attend First Churches in Northampton before we headed home. There are a few girls who are observant in their religions on the accepted student sites she is on. It seems that Smith is typical of liberal New England colleges as far as religious life goes. I think as long as your beliefs are inclusive and on the liberal/progressive side you will be fine. She has decided to attend First Churches when she is at Smith.
I’m pretty sure there’s a Christian students’ association at Smith. I know of practicing Christians here who attend church regularly. As long as you’re not anti-LGBTQA+ you’ll fit in.
