Today I was writing my Exeter's essays and I got a bit confused with something. In this essay, I have to talk about my atheism to explain some things about me.
But the problem is: I'm not a child. I don't believe that admission officers are prejudiceless and pure people. Depending on who analyzes the application, this can looks good (because there are not many atheists in this world, and exeter always says that they want students with different backgrounds) or really bad (like 'oh my god, she's an atheist, she's a bad girl and is going hell' or soomething). what do you think?

Be honest no matter what the question. If you get in or not being true to your self and your beliefs. I believe in fit. If the “wrong” person reads it, then that school/program is not right for you.

Good Luck

Religious tolerance and freedom is an Exeter mainstay. You won’t shock anyone.

C-Mama’s right. They probably won’t batt an eye. Or maybe they’ll put you in the “atheist” pile. ;)

oh, that’s pretty good. and how about communism? my parents are communist and my homeschool program (i attend home and regular school =D) have a lot of communist texts and everything.

Our son has a couple of Communists in his Exeter dorm. I don’t think it’s contagious or anything like that. :D

=D that’s good.

Hmmm…I’d say you’d score some points for diverse background, but Mainer makes me think the Communist Atheist (bit of a redundancy, that?), may already be well represented. :)

All the better to stand out from the other applicants!

ya its good to post something about religion on your application. as long as your not wiccan or a scientologist youll be fine.

thank you, everyone I’ll put this anyway, you never know when they would consider it ‘different’ or ‘common’, due to the fact that these things change a lot every application year… =D
