Religion Major

I’m pretty well aware that this tends to be a small major at most colleges, but does anyone know anything about what the Religion major is like at Barnard? I developed an interest in the major over the summer, when I had previously loved Barnard for the English program (though I’m sure the Religion Department maintains a similar level of excellence) and I would really appreciate any bits of wisdom someone might be willing to dole out.

I’d be particularly interested in knowing whether each world religion is well represented (which I guess means that I’d hope the major isn’t dominated by Judeo-Christian courses). I’m really interested in Eastern religions…would that be an easy avenue to pursue in the department?

Any information would be woonnnderful.

Have you tried looking here:

I am sure most of your questions will be addressed.

Thanks! That was incredibly helpful.
