I’m Muslim, but I really like BC for many reasons. Sorry to sound naive, but will this help or hurt me in the admission process? I ask this b/c according to the college board, religious affiliation is an “IMPORTANT” admission factor. So will my religion be seen as a postive diversity factor for BC or negative factor? And will I still feel part of the BC community (i.e. is religion a major thing on campus?) Thanks!!!

P.S. I know that old threads have questioned this, but if anyone has new insight, what about being Asian? It says they’re AHANA, but it doesn’t look like BC is trying to drastically improve the Asian population in their school (1% to be exact).

your religion will be a positive factor. I'm sorry I can't honestly say if you will feel like a part of the community or not (there are a lot of other things that factor into that), but I have heard the joke that BC stands for Barely Catholic

My opinion is that your religion may help you since it seems that schools like BC, Notre Dame are looking for more religious diversity in its student body. I'd call BC and find out is there is a Muslim student group, if not you can start one.
