I was wondering...does anyone know if the ACT provides religious exemptions for test dates? I know the SAT provides testing on Sundays for religious Jews. Does the ACT also have this exemption? Because statistically I test better in the afternoon on a Sunday than bright and early on a Saturday morning. Does anyone know the answer to this?

You know that this isn’t going to get you a religious exemption, right?

@stressedouttt His being Jewish will, though.

@dune297 thanks for the link. Do you know if the testing is in the morning at regular time or at some other specified time?

@foolishprophet Haven’t the slightest idea. Didn’t realize it was an option until tonight. Would have loved to take advantage of it being Jewish and all, spent the last three tests on 2-3 hours sleep. Try sending them an email.

Normal time, just on Sunday, and you have to submit a letter from your clergyman/woman or a notarized statement affirming that Saturday testing would violate your religious practices.

It is frowned upon to take a Sunday test if you have ever tested on Saturday. Colleges can see your test dates and see that you were lying about your religious practices. Furthermore, you may be denied the accommodation.

All right, thanks. It was more of a curiosity than something I was actually going to do, but it’s good to know.
