Hi everyone,

I may be attending Holy Cross this fall and I was wondering if current students/alumni could tell me about the religious life there for Catholics? My faith is very important to me and I want to make sure I go somewhere where I will "fit in". Being a Catholic institution I'm sure the administration and facilities are very open to the faith, but I'm wondering as to what the attitude of the student body has been? Have other Catholics found it to be a more comfortable place to live out the faith in comparison to other Catholic colleges? Thanks.

There are a lot of hard core Catholics at Holy Cross as well as non Catholics as well as those who are Catholic in name only. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s son went to Holy Cross and is now an extremely conservative Catholic priest in the diocese of Arlington, VA.

In my experience Holy Cross has been comfortable for all kinds of faiths. I personally am not religious, my friend goes to church weekly, and another friend is a devout Muslim. The religious experience here is whatever you want it to be. PM me if you have any other questions (I’m a current freshman).
