Relocating to a larger city

It is easy to get IL residency. You just have to live and work here during the year prior to matriculating. Not having work experience can be a negative for business programs.
It takes full-time about 2 years to complete a MBA or Masters in Accounting.
If you want to go to school in a large city than UIUC is not for you. UIUC is in Urbana-Champaign, a small-medium size city in central Illinois.

If you are a full-time student, at UIC you are eligible for TA/GA ships.

My college roommate was a Masters of Accounting student at UIC. Since she was a UIC undergrad she was able to use some of her classwork towards her masters. She was always studying and stressed out. She was always worried about making the 3.0.

A lot of your chance will depend on your GMAT score since you have no work experience. My sister had a similar GPA to you, but she did have work experience. She wanted to go to DePaul. However, she did not do too well on her GMAT and thus decided she could not get in. If she had a higher score, she could have gotten in.
