EA applicants: it's October 8. Do you know where your EC is?

This is a friendly reminder to contact your EC before October 20 to schedule an EA interview, and/or to contact the admissions office if you're having problems reaching your assigned EC.

And if you're applying RD, this is still a friendly reminder to contact your EC to schedule your interview, because December 10 is sooner than you think, and the early bird gets the worm, and all that jazz.

Hi Mollie,

I contacted my EC one week ago exactly and have yet to hear a response. How much longer should I wait before emailing MIT admissions?

I have a similar question… I emailed my EC at the end of August and didn’t receive a reply. So then I called him sometime around the 3rd week of September and told him my name and contact information… he said he would try to get back to me at the end of September. It’s now October and I still haven’t gotten anything. What would you suggest?

I think it both of you are perfectly within your rights to send a polite reminder email asking whether you can set up your interviews. If you don’t hear back from your ECs within a few days, then you should email admissions.
