Reminder for Current Parents...

Just a reminder for those of you who have health insurance to remember to waive WFU's plan if you don't want to get charged for double coverage. In order to waive you must have current health coverage that meets certain criteria. More information can be found at:
Enrollment, Verification, and Waivers | Student Health Insurance Program | Wake Forest University

Just follow the prompts. You will have to provide current insurance info to do so and your student's ID#. You have until late August to do so. The charge for the insurance is already on your WFU account statement ($700+). Once you waive coverage, check your statement again and the fee should be removed in about 5 days. But remember, only waive your coverage if your child is covered under another health insurance plan for the school year.

^^Thanks - great reminder! Last year we forgot to waive it for my older son (different school but same procedure), and he had to submit a formal request with a valid “reason” for not submitting the waiver by the deadline. Thankfully, he was able to get the charge removed, but they didn’t make it easy.
