REMS Essays

for the REMS supplement application is question 1 and 2 suppose to be essay questions?? or are we suppose to give our answer in those boxes??

I too am wondering about this.

My son applied to REMS last yr. Not sure how he did it, but I think he redid his form online (like retyped it or something) because it looked similar to the original but he increased the boxes to the size of his essays (a couple paragraphs for some). I only glanced at it at the time so I don't have specifics, sorry.

I think some other kids wrote "see attached" in the boxes and attached a sheet with their typed answers.

These kids were ones who attended the REMS interview weekend so they made it into the top 50. I think UR is more interested in what you have to say, than how you format the forms.

Its not the format I'm concerned with, rather, how much of an answer the university is looking for.

Currently, it seems as thought the program is looking for a meager answer, maybe 200 words. But, I can't see how they can properly evaluate a candidate with a 200 word essay.

I just typed them out and put them in the boxes...

where do we mail the completed rems app? just to the regular rochester place?

yeah it should be mailed to the office of undergrad, probably should read "REMS supplement"..

i just wrote see attached and typed up seperate essays
