Is there anyone on here who participated in the Renaissance Scholarship Weekend?

WOW.. you got the Renaissance Scholarship ??

Congratulation! :)

My son participated in the Renaissance Weekend. Why do you ask?

soddy

i just wanted to know who was going to attend out of all the people who went. we were supposed to give each other our email addresses, but we never got around to it, so i cant get in touch with them.

Have you committed to UR?

For those who got the Renaissance Scholarship, would you mind to post your stats? and did you people have interview or submit a seperate application for this scholarship?

Thanks!

no seperate app, but u get called for a seperate interview in february. i didn't get it, tho i like to think i was close, but a friend did, and i know his stats well enough to post them:

2280 SAT (700 v 800 m 780 wr) triple 800 SAT II's (math IIC, physics, german), 4.0 uw gpa, no class rank, full IB, some throwaway leadership and the biggie - part of the national champion scioly team, helped build the second place mission possible (which was the subject of his essay). tho, i hear that, compared to others at that event, he wasn't all that ..

wowww....Guess it takes alot to get a full scholarship from a place like UR
Oh well - it was worth a shot right? =P Its impressive to've even been considered and called in for a seperate interview. Nice work ^^

i got half tuition after the interview, and yea, i sent the deposit for the u of r

Oh, I thought recipients got full tution.

only 10 of the 50 ppl invited do, the rest get half tuition

no, the rest get 12000, and part of them get half tuition

ah, so maybe my friend wasn't the bottom of the 50. damn it... and i had such close stats to him as well.. what a pity.
