Rensselaer or RIT

<p>I'm considering going to either Rensselaer or Rochester Institute of Technology. I will be doing a Chemistry major and possibly a pre-med designation. Could anyone help me out? Costs are comparable, Rensselaer is just a bit more for me. Thank you very much.</p>

<p>Rensselaer has a better chemistry department, and I liked the overall feel of the campus better. RIT has offered me other opportunities, though, like a summer research program and entry into the Honors college. Whichever I choose will probably be my first choice, but I also have to see financial aid from Duke. (forgot to file the CSS Profile) This will take another couple of weeks.</p>

<p>If you get into Duke, go there even if it costs more.</p>

<p>RPI is also a great school for chemistry.</p>

<p>RIT would be a last resort distant third. Honors colleges don't mean anything. You can probably get summer research experience anywhere if you seek it.</p>
