I would appreciate any knowledge that you all could share with me about the strength/rigor/recognition of RPI's Lally School of Management and Technology. I am considering their management undergrad program. I would assume that this program is a little bit more on the quantitative side than other undergrad management programs.

Does anyone know anything about RPI?

Also I'm guessing that this program could prepare me for a career in IT. What do you think it is useful for?

RPI's Lally school of management is up there in terms of rankings (I think it is in the high twenties or low thirties in terms of top ranked business schools for undergraduate study). I've only visited the Lally school of management once and from my impression I would agree it seemed to be much more on the quantitative side. I know they work with major corporations (GE Bank of America ect.) but if you want to go into Ibanking I don't believe there is much recruiting at RPI. They have a solid economics department but again not in the top ten. RPI is really well known for engineering and has name recognition in that field but I don't know about business. The only thing that really stands out about their business program is the incubator center. You can go and rent a space where all your utilities ect. are a flat rate and you can start your own business. It may be something for you to look into depending on what you want to do when you graduate.

Sorry I couldn't be of any more help. I main focused on the engineering aspect of the school when I visited/lived there for a summer program.
