Rent Schedule and Fees??

How does that work? Im an incoming freshmen and im kinda confused about me have to paying rent. I mean, isnt housing all ready paid for when I pay for the tuitiion, books, housing, etc. per year? can someone explain? thnx. Also, for a freshman looking to go into med, is it adviasable to have Reipe as one of my top choices? So, for freshmen, what houses would you prefer? For me, so far I have harrison, Reipe, Ware, any other houses you guys suggest? Thnx again

also, when filling out the housing app, do we have to do fill out the residential program application now? or can we fill them out later?

you pay an additional fee each semester to live on campus housing

it is not included in your tuition (and books aren’t, either)

and there is no particular difference between the houses as far as suitability for premeds

There is a suite in Hill that I believe is a premed suite… not 100% sure though. As for the rent schedule, when you are charged for tuition and the like, you will be charged for housing as well. It will be broken down on your bill for you.

I live next to the premed suite in Hill. Don’t do it.

this is true, but that premed suite doesn’t really make a difference as far as “being” premed

MajorLazer, second floor? I was in 225 freshman year! I felt bad… we were such bullies to the medical suite and I still have no idea why!

When I was emailed my financial plan, I was told it includes tuition, fees, living expenses, meals, books and personal expenses. Does this cover only doubles? Like would I have to pay more to live in triples/quads w. kitchenette?

Aha yeah, second floor. I’m a few doors down from where you lived. Neither suite next to the premeds likes them. I mean there are some nice people, but it’s very antisocial and really lives up to the asian pre-med stereotype.

that sucks, i’ve known former premed suite kids that didn’t have that issue

hahaha oh my… are you guys nice and crazy like we were? It’d be a shame if 2nd floor north got lame! There was always someone running screaming down the hall at 3AM when I lived there. Also, you have it good… they renovated the whole place after 2007-2008… when I was there the common room outside of 225 was flooded more than once and was completely missing half its tiles…the other common room’s light only worked when it felt like working. Good times, good times.
