<p>Facts for undergraduates include:</p>
<p>1) If you received a D, F, NP, U, or W, you may be able to repeat the class for credit.
2) If you earned a D or F in a class, you can only repeat it for a letter grade.
3) All grades you earn are recorded on your transcript, but the first 16 units of repeated classes for which you received a D, F, or NP won't be used to calculate your cumulative GPA.</p>
<p>However, will this still apply if I pass the class at a community college and transfer it over? Or will I simply have transferred units, and no help to my GPA?</p>
<p>Basically, is there any benefit for me to retake the class at UCSD?</p>
