Repeated courses

How bad do they look on transcripts? I had a bad semester and had to repeat three courses, but I got A's the second time and my school uses the passing grade for GPA calculation. Have I done any permanent damage as to transferring to a good school. I have a 3.7 right now. I'm not planning on reaching too high, no Ivy league or anything. I'm actually at the Univ. Mich - Flint campus and I'm hoping to transfer to Univ. Mich - Ann Arbor or Mich State. Do you think I would be considered less desireable strictly because of those repeated courses? Are UM-Ann Arbor and Mich State also a reach?

bump bump bump

academic renewal is fairly common. if you have a very good reason for the bad semester and/or show them a continuing high standard of academic performance, how could they hold it against you? like you said, you're not trying for harvard... 3.7 is well above a good (not ivy) schools applicant avg.

good luck! :)
