Repeating a C grade class in extension school?

I just got my second C at my CCC, and this time it was a long story of problem with my instructor. She wasn't going to pass me but after endless arguments, she decided to pass me with a C.

Now I want to transfer to Berkeley and this second C brought my gpa to 3.15 and i have 30 units left to transfer, I want my final gpa to be 3.7 before i apply to berkeley, and that is pretty much impossible now.

So I am thinking of applying to UCLA extension for the summer to replace the 2 C's in my transcript.

Do you think I should ask my instructor to give me a D and repeat the course? This would be absurd, but I really want to repeat the course anyway possible.

Will they consider my repeat at UCLA extension and count their grades instead of the C's in my CCC transcript?

I am talking about CAL,UCSD,UCSB, and UCLA.

I can’t answer your question. However, academic forgiveness is a tool you should have used to your advantage. I think you should ask for the D and repeat the course.

You can’t replace C’s for admission purposes only D’s or F’s. Once you recieve a passing grade in a UC transferable class it will be calculated into your UC gpa and all attempts after won’t be considered. If you absolutely know you’ll do better the next time and it won’t set you back in terms of pre-reqs or the core requirements then it may be worth considering taking the D and repeating the course.

Agreed, you should have taken the ‘D’.
