I was planning on repeating my freshman year but the thing is that I come from a poor family and I was wondering if applying to go to said school for a full 4 years will be a dis-advantage because of the fact that they must finance my education for a full 4 years compared to if I applied for my sophomore year and they had to only finance me for three years.

Also during an interview when they ask why you want to repeat what should you say?

I’m repeating my sophomore year, and I’m so glad I did. If the money is an issue you could always tell them you would repeat your freshman year but if the money’s an issue you wouldn’t mind being a sophomore but I don’t think the extra year will be too much more money.
And about the interview what I said is because I want to get the full experience of being at a boarding school, and not just be there for two years and then leave. As well as because I was coming from a public school so I would be behind coming in, and I wouldn’t want to be playing catch up my junior year since it’s the most important year in HS.
Hope this helps
