Replacing a teacher on the Common App for recommendations with teachers already assigned

<p>I invited two teachers to split between the four Common App schools I'm applying to. Over the break however, one of the teachers is not responding to my emails and has possibly forgotten about my recommendation request. The other teacher started on the recommendations but is not yet finished.</p>

<p>Is it possible for me to delete my invitations to Busy Teacher and replace him with Unfinished Teacher at the last minute, in case he doesn't show and I have to submit my forms already? By then, Unfinished Teacher would be finished and would have submitted all the ones I asked her to do, and it would be impossible to reach her at that time to do additional forms. </p>

<p>Like, if you asked me for a recommendation on Monday, and I finished and submitted on Tuesday, then you request more recommendations from me on Wednesday, would I still need to fill up forms or they would just consider the one I submitted on Tuesday?</p>

<p>You are way overthinking this. Most colleges allow the school reports, transcripts, and the recommendations letters to come a little later after the deadline. Talk to your teachers once again after school starts. </p>

<p>Those are separate submissions. The only “hard deadline” come 1/1 are your CA and supplements. </p>

<p>@viphan So I can submit my CA while having my teacher recco. letters late? But can you still change your teacher recommendation AFTER the CA have already been submitted? </p>
