Replacing Shower Curtain

Does anyone have details as to what is needed to replace the shower curtain in Riverside? Do the hooks also need to be replaced or can a standard curtain be used with them? Any idea as to what size shower curtain is needed? The existing curtain is driving the boys crazy…need to find one that has magnets on the bottom.

I am really laughing at this, because my son said just last night that the curtain is very “creepy”, literally - it follows them into the shower and kind of sucks into them and clings to them - yes, magnets at the bottom will help, but the source of the problem has to do with the negative air pressure the space is generating in that tiny space when the water is on, so husband suggested they crack the edge of it to disrupt that air flow making it tent-in like that. I think son’s suitemate is using whiteboard marker magnets at the moment as temp measure. Also, shower caddies do not work well in there - there is no room to hang over the shower head, and the soap holder is literally just that - holds 1 bar of soap. There is no ledge or room to set/hold anything else inside the shower cubicle, so all of son’s toiletries are on the floor. The Riverside showers ARE pretty tiny - be warned, large/tall people!

we purchased this corner caddy for son. It has the extra strong suctions grips and seems to be working OK for now.

Son’s roommate’s mother went the whole nine yards with the shower curtain and window curtains, matching sofa pillows. Oy vey!

I will give her a call to find out how she did the shower curtain, and post it here when I find out. Thankfully, it is a masculine color. The boys are in Riverside West.

As to the shower being tiny, son and another suitemate, who uses the other shower, are big enough to play football at Alabama, and they have no problem fitting in there.

Son is 6’3", and he almost grazes the cubicle ceiling. Is it adequate, yes. Can you swing a cat in there, no.

I bought S an inexpensive corner shower caddy at Wal-Mart for his shower in Riverside.

It came with 3 or 4 plastic tubes to increase or decrease the height. He is only using one or two of those, but has it sitting on the small corner built in shelf, extending up to the ceiling and was able to put 3 of the included shelves on the caddy, so that he and roommate both have a shelf for their shampoo and soap. (I believe this is the one we bought - [Tension Bathroom Shower Caddy ? White ? Walmart.com](http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tension-Shower-Caddy-White/16207251))

He hasn’t mentioned the shower curtain issue, I’ll have to ask about it sometime.

After getting tired of cleaning the white shower curtain, last year I went to Target around October and they had clearanced out the vinyl for 75% off ($3.00.) As the only remotely masculine design they had left was a San Francisco-themed one, I bought it. Since the included rings were too small, I just used the hooks from the white shower curtain. The shower curtain worked well for the rest of the year, but was too far gone to store over the summer.

I’ve never had a shower caddy and instead keep my shampoo and soap on one of the closet shelves (the soap is in a Tupperware soap holder). It works really well.

I bought this one for my son:

[UTILITY SHOWER CURTAIN - Wintercheck Factory | Furniture, Clothing, Equipment, etc.](http://wintercheckfactory.com/shop/25-utility-shower-curtain)

I like it because it has pockets in the curtain itself for easy organization. The pockets even have drain holes and it is machine wash safe.
