Report all AP Scores?

I have a 5 in APUSH, 4's in World His and German, 3 in Microeconomics, and a 2 in Biology...should I report the 2 because my guidance counselor said I should report it. I attend a very competitive private prep school.

If you don’t report it, admissions officers may assume that you just didn’t take the test. In my opinion, that would look much worse.

Admissions people aren’t stupid. If you report some of your AP scores, but not all
of them, and they knew from your transcript that you took more AP classes…what inference do you think they will make? It will be very clear that you did not report scores for those classes for a reason, and, of course that the reason is that you did not like the scores.

They will also realize that you are not the kind of person they want on their campus. You will not appear to be forthright or honest, they will make assumptions about your character that you may not want them to make.

Also, be sure not to self report incorrect scores. A girl in the class of 2008 from our high school self reported scores that were better than she actually earned on some tests (she had 9 APs with scores of 2s 3s 4s and a 5). When she sent her AP transcript the school realized the inaccuracies on her application and rescinded her admission for dishonesty/violation of the honor code.

^Ha, way to be dramtic. Just because you don’t send in a bad score or two the admission officers are not going to doubt your character and label you dishonest. APs are used for placement, not for evaluation, despite the fact the scores, if good, will help out the appliction a bit.

However, an quick explaination in your additional infor section can help clear up any false assumptions OP.
