Report AP Scores to Colleges?

I've been told that some colleges actually do look at AP scores in possibly determining one's acceptance, and I've been wondering: does anyone ever report AP scores to colleges, like SAT scores, as part of one's application?

I haven't found much about this by searching around on the internet, so I assume it's not a commonly pursued option, but I'm wondering if it may pose any advantage in applying to the Ivies, especially for one who has 5's on five separate exams.

Or is self-reporting sufficient?

Self-reporting is sufficient. Do not pay CB to send them.

For the last AP exams senior year (in May), my kids listed their college choice on their paperwork. Their scores got sent in July before freshman year.

I’ve never heard of any college asking to have the scores sent during the app process.

BTW…does anyone know if when Collegeboard sends SAT scores, are the AP scores sent as well?
