Report card submissions!

Hi guys. So our school does not provide the 2020-21 semester transcript until Jan. 28, and the deadline is Jan. 15

I asked my counselor if he could submit the quarter 1 grades but he told me that no file is available, because apparently students were struggling to adapt to online learning in quarter 1 and the school decided to move it to the semester report card…

What should I do now?

Call the college that wants the mid-year report and explain. They’ve seen these situations b4 and they’ll adapt for you.

Fixed it for you. This is the “Prep School Chances” section.

Many prep schools have an application deadline next week; all applications require a recent transcript.

Your advice is otherwise correct: contact the AO and explain the situation.

The same thing happened to me. Email them and they’ll say submit without your grades. Once you get the grades, email them the transcript.

Agree with @prepschool2021 – this is a pretty common school calendar. We had this issue last year and 12 out of 12 schools we contacted said, no problem; submit when the grades are ready. (they ended up getting sent the first few days of February. It was totally fine.)

Just do add to @Calliemomofgirls, email them as early as possible - if you haven’t already. They are just about to start with reading applications and may come across the empty transcript and have to go out of their way and email you.
