Hi! I have a question. The college wants to see my son’s first report card from senior year. His report card will not be issued until 5 days after the ED deadline. Is there a way to add that to the common app AFTER he submits the application? Is there a section where you can add additional information? Or is everything locked once you hit submit?? Anyway, I was just hoping that there was a way to submit it electronically. Thank you.
Nobody wants to see his report card. They may ask to see his first quarter/first trimester grades, but that is a transcript update that comes from the GC. Colleges are well aware that most schools to no have updates by the EA/ED deadline, but will expect that they will be sent as soon as they are available. Again, this is a GC function, and they know the drill.
@skieurope My son is an athlete that is being recruited. The coach spoke to admissions. He said admissions wants see the grades from the first 9 weeks(report card period). Semester grades will not be released until February. I will ask the guidance counselor if she can send the grades from the first 9 weeks once they are available. Thanks.
OK, it’s slightly different for athletic recruits. In that case, feel free to send the report card if that’s what they asked for. Again, colleges understand that you can only send once it becomes available.
