Report cards in yet guys?

I don't think so.

1st semester grades of senior year:
AP/IB European History 100
AP/IB Biology III 98
IB Math Methods 98
AP/IB Spanish V 100
IB Theory of Knowledge 98
IB English IV 99

AP calc BC: A
AP european history: A
orchestra: A
English II: A
Chemistry: A
AP Stats: A+
Spanish II: A+
Marching Band: A+

I have 9 periods in 1 day...They had block scheduling in 9th grade, but I wasn't there. I would hate that.

I don't think you would. I hated the sound of it too when I was in middle school, but it ended up being A LOT better...the day goes much quicker.

I Got An A-. I Am Going To Die.
I Got An A-. I Am Going To Die.

I always thought the plusses and minuses were done in spite and thats why the % grade is better because it shows an exact score. Like, sure I got an A, but is it a 94.5 or is it a 98.4???

lol, the % system, in my view sucks. For example, if I have a 98% in one class and a 91 in the other going into finals, then I don't have to study for the first class's final and can concentrate solely on the 2nd class.

It also seems like a numerical grading system would become Uber-competitive.

My school uses a number system and isn't too competitive. It seems to be better at proving people's strengths because it seems like more people get As that are low and look the same as people with high As. In some of my classes, the difference between a high and low A can be large.

thus, the + and minus system. For example, I got an A- (92%). If you get an 97+%, then it's an A+. But, any A= 4.0 (or 5.0 if it's AP) at my school. sweet system. generally, the AP classes are enough to separate those that deserve A's from those that do not.

Maybe it's a sarcastic sad face?

Unfortunately, as I've learned, many people can't pick up sarcasm unless it's obvious... it wasn't so yeah, I guess I am stupid for that?

Not stupid, but really the opposite. You care way too much that you complain about an A- when some kids would be ecstatic with those grades

Hmmm,
well.

A 92% is bad for my school,
where grades are pretty much inflated in some classes,

it wasn't in that particular class,
but...still...

1st MP, 2nd MP, Semester average

AP Bio: A / B / A
AP Calc AB: A / A / A
AP Chem: B / ? / B
AP Lang: A / B / B
AP US: A / B / A
French: A / A / A

My grades suck.

I got straight A's! I am so happy! But I have a question. Here in WV, we have a grading scale of 93-100 as an A, 85-92 as a B. But my friend who lives in Indiana has a grading scale of 90-100 as an A. What do you guys have? I had so many B's in freshman year that would have been A's on my friends grading scale...

i have the 93-100 like you. some schools even have 94-100

90-100 = A
82-89 = B
75-81 = C
70-74 = D

Though my brother has:

90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
60-69 = D

That lucky twerp.

hah...wow....is everyone in here straight A students? Geez...well my grades for the semester are (sophmore):
Algebra II Honors: B+
Pe (10-12): B
World History Honors: C
Chem: A
Spanish 2: C
English 2 Honors: C <-----borderline....81.3

sorry liliachenko, didn't mean to offend u-- i didn't know that an a- at ur school doesnt carry the weight it does at others. it just gets somewhat aggravating to see all these cc'ers posting a+ averages and lamenting what most people consider to be amazing grades.

"im a junior, and my average was 99.5!!!
and i go to a really hard school, where most of the smart kids have averages around 91-93"
"its not weighted or anything... im jst really really good at those subjects"
"people are talking about me.... lol i didnt even know it."

sings "you're so vain...you probably think this song is about you"
wow, talk about being full of yourself...sheesh
