Congrats gch. But please know that UCLA accepts a lot more kids from OOS, but few matriculate bcos of the $46k cost, and finaid is poor.

I am getting the above message on MyUCLA Page.

Biology, Admit, College (Letters and Science)

Wait, where do you see that? I made an account, but I just get a list of Academic/Financial/Personal and links to stuff...

According to collegeboard.com it's 3%. and it's funny that you mention that many people don't shell out the cost, because that's a big reason I'm not going. I can afford it, but I fear the economic crisis will mess up the state schools, and I'd rather be safe at Pomona, which is where I'll actually go next year. Although this is $50,000, they have full coverage in terms of tuition, and UCLA is sure not going to offer me any scholarships. I hope the rest of you who have been admitted have a FANTASTIC four years though!

Oh the instructions on cc aren't very clear.

First: Make an account through URSA.UCLA.edu

THEN TO CHECK IF YOU ARE ADMITTED: Go to my.ucla.edu. After you log in, the top right says "Your-Major Admit School-You-Got-In-To"

can someone please tell me if no access means i was rejected ?

gch:

I totally understand...the UCs are great for instate, but with the exception of a few specialized programs, a poor value at OOS prices.

No access...

But I tried logging on to URSA and I could see my address... I don't know if that means anything.

no access :(

No access. Oh well, I definitely wasn't expecting to get into this school at all.

Have you been admitted to Pomona or hoping for admit?

In. OOS. Neuroscience. Eep!

Good job, apparently Neuroscience majors get all the ladies:

Then again, Wellesley is an all-girl school.

Computer Science, Admit, School (HSSEAS)
I got the likely letter and I'm OOS as well =]

gcheifetz, i think that's the percentage of out of state students attending. like, if you went there, how many students of them all are from out of state. not the acceptance rate.
