So in the section where you list honors and awards, I've been writing that I was on the Dean's list every year, but after scrutinizing my transcript, I realized I didn't get it last year...I thought the criteria was maintaining a 3.25 or higher cumulative GPA but I just realized that apparently it's based on annual GPA and my GPA was just shy of 3.25 last year.

It was an honest mistake and I've already submitted most of my applications O_O. Should I email all the admissions offices about this or is it not that big a deal?

My school requires 3.98+ GPA to get on the Dean’s List -_____-

You probably should send a quick email, but they’ll most likely not bother correcting it on the application.

Yeah I guess it’s better to let them than not to. And my school is known for major grade deflation so that’s why the minimum GPA for Dean’s list is so low. I don’t think anyone would get it if we had to have a 3.98!

It is not a big deal. Applications are not scrutinized and cross referenced that well. An email bringing it up is enough to address it and will get you points for honesty and ethics. You can’t buy anything with the points, but there may be a warm fuzzy sense of appreciation somewhere out there for you.

You might even lose “points” and it may hurt you in the end, though lol.

I think with dozens or even hundreds of applications, they will not notice.
