I took the October ACT, and composite scores are likely to be released this week. But, writing scores are not released until later. Can I report my composite score to Penn as soon as it is released, or do I have to wait until the official score report, including writing comes out? I already got a 12 on writing for a previous ACT test, and I want to make sure that Penn can consider this score when evaluating my ED application. It says on the Penn website that applicants must send only one official ACT score report, and I already sent the one from my previous ACT. Please help! Thanks in advance to those who reply!

WAIT-we can only send one official score report?

How the hell did you include all of your scores on ONE score report? I had to send each of them separately?

sorry i should have worded that differently!
Penn says that you only HAVE TO submit one official ACT score report from ONE test date. But for SAT scores, they require a score report for each test date. Not sure why… I think it’s something to do with the fact that ACT score reports are more expensive.

I’m pretty sure you need to send all your ACT scores, not just one.

yeah, i’m sending all of mine just in case, although the speaker at the information session said that they only require one ACT score report. But that’s not really the point- can anyone answer my original question? My ACT score report will eventually get to Penn once writing scores are released, but can I notify Penn of my composite score once i receive it so that they can add it to my application asap?

Hmmm, I would like to know the answer to this as well.

I think you should be able to. I choose Penn as a recipient for the October date and I’m applying ED. Of course you have to send it through the official ACT channels, not just some phone call, email, or what have you.
