Reporting AP Scores, list weak scores?

Under AP scores I am not sure what to report. A friend reccomended that for prestigious schools I should list only good scores. I received a 2, 3, 4, and 5. For one school I listed 5, 4 only.

What scores should I report to schools? Prestigious schools?

If you say all of them or more then 4,5 , should I call/mail the schools which I have reported 4, 5 and tell them about my other scores?

Thank for your help

Also, should I be listing AP tests that will be taken this(senior) year where I don't yet have scores? Thanks again.

I'd recommend looking at each college and seeing which scores they would accept for credit, then sending those scores. If they give credit for that score, it tells you they think it's a respectable score. Otherwise, I would not send them. I think just sending the 4 and the 5 is a pretty good general strategy.

Thanks. My scores were:

2 chem
3 history
4 gov
5 eng

So I'm wondering if they see the gov and then think, well what'd he get on history, so perhaps it is beneficial to me to list the 3-5? Any other advice or insight is appreciated alot.

Since gov/his are one class you know?

2 on chem is nothing to be ashamed of, it is probably the hardest AP exam

I'm not ashamed of anything but what is the best thing to be listing on these schools apps, and why.

Wait - are we supposed to be sending in AP scores with our apps? I checked the college board site and it looks kind of expensive, I have 4s in US and Euro History and a 5 in Psych, should I just wait and send them to school I end up attending or what? Do they not come with the SAT score reports from CB?

No they don't come in with SAT scores, no you don't need to send them with apps.

Same question regarding SAT IIs when only 2 or 3 are required.
680 lit
660 math I
640 US Hist
630 Math II

bumpity, urgent

I'm not sure you have a choice on what SAT scores to send, I think CB has to send them all. Colleges that only require 2/3 will usually only look at your highest scores anyways.

Because there can be so much disparity between AP scores and grades and couses are taught differently from school to school (some schools teach stratight to the test while others don't), I suggest not sending AP scores at this time because more emphasis is placed on the grade (a high grade and a low score can be construed as grade inflation).

Even after acceptance you only have to submit the grade if you are looking to get college credit for the course. If you did not indicate when you took your exam to have your scores with held, like the SAT there is no score choice so all scores are sent.
