reporting changes in coursework

hi i got accepted to cal for the fall of 2009. i just had a question regarding changes in high school coursework. i'm currently doing independent study for calculus bc, and i wrote on my uc application that i would get credit for my indep study for the first and second semester of my high school senior year. however, i found out after i got accepted that i won't get credit for my indep study in the second semester, and thus the course won't show up on my second semester transcript when i said it would on my uc application. i am probably going to write berkeley a letter about my situation, but would this make cal rescind their admission decision?

Report this ASAP! Trust me, they will work with you as best as they can! I was in a situation worse than yours [[read my posts]], but they worked with me all the way. I think you should type up a letter and fax it to them with your signature and they will get back to you as soon as they can. I don’t think it’s going to be a big deal as long as you tell them right away. Good luck! : ]

thank you agenalay! that makes me feel a lot better knowing that there have been others who have had problems with coursework, and who have been okay. i’ve been super nervous about my situation ever since i found out several days ago.

report ASAP or else ur screwed. :)

No problem. Hope everything turns out well!

okay so i sent them a letter several weeks ago and they haven’t contacted me back. is this normal? does it matter if they respond back or not?

letter? as in physical letter? or email?

call them!

yeah a physical letter. so i should call them up to make sure they received it?

um call them straight up and call them. Email your myberkeleyapp… that’s what they’re for? find out whether or not ull be rescinded BEFORE MAY 1ST. so you still have a chance to SIR somewhere else just in case.

okay i will call them up, but shouldn’t a letter have worked as well? i sent it about 2 weeks ago, and they should have responded in a couple of days right?

Well I think faxing is better cuz I faxes them a signed letter and they responded in a couple of days so fax them asap!!
