Hi, I am a rising senior who has attended public high school since Junior year after being homeschooled. Most of the classes I took while homeschooled were online classes through a university, and transferred to my public school. However, none of the math classes I took transferred, and as a result my public school transcript will only show three years of math when most colleges I’m looking at require four. I did put down on the Common App that I was previously homeschooled, but how should I report the homeschool classes that I took? Will I need to send a “homeschool transcript” to colleges, and should I only include classes that didn’t transfer to my public school?
Can you get a transcript from the college where you took the math classes? You should be able to.
Have the university send a transcript with all the classes you took on it. If you have to send a homeschool transcript, make sure to list all your classes, not just the ones your high school accepted.
All colleges have special instructions for home schooled kids. Check each target college and see each’s directions.
