Reporting SAT and ACT scores

I currently have taken the SAT (new version) once, but am taking it again to get a better score. I am also going to take the ACT in September. I want to submit my common app by August 19th to a school I’m applying Early Decision to, so I won’t have my new score by then. I don’t want to report the SAT score I got back in March because I think I’ll improve upon it soon, and I can’t report the ACT score if I send the application by August 19th, because I won’t have taken it yet.

Would it be unwise to report neither an SAT score nor an ACT score? The official score report should still be sent before the early application deadline (November 1st), but I want to submit the common app without an SAT or ACT score by August 19th.

If the school requires an SAT or ACT score, then your application will not be complete until they receive that. Why would you want to apply so early with an incomplete application?

If the application is due November 1st, why are you rushing to have it in by August 19th?
