hi!
So I'm applying EA to a dream school out of my league (why? don't ask...), and I'm freaking out because of the SATII scores because one of them was absolute CRAP compared to the others. Now, the school only wants 2 SAT II scores.
I got a 750 bio and a 770 US history. Then I took the math II and only scored a 630.
Math was never a strong point and I skipped Pre-Calculus to take Calculus, so I didn't get half of the test.
Now, the 750 and 770 just barely qualifies me, but if they see that Math II, I'm scared it's going to be all over for me. I know they'll see it eventually anyways on the collegeboard report, but would it be to my advantage if I didn't list it on my application?
Should I take it again and list that and/or in lieu of the other MATH II score?

Bump, I have the same question.

I wouldn't send the score.

Why worry about this if the college says it is only looking for two SAT II scores?

Are you going to take any other SATs? Does this college already have the SAT scores you want them to see?

I have the same question.

matus, I have to send my other SAT scores. They see everything.

Would it seem like I'm hiding something if I don't report it in?

As I recall your SAT II scores are on the score report for the SAT I but I would think they would just look at your best scores

Or not facing up to reality. Any score that is on the score report--and that is any score from ninth grade on up to the time you submit your application--you may as well self-report.

otech08: You pay to submit the scores to the colleges. If they already have want you want them to see, why pay more?

Is it clear to everyone here that

a) the student is asking what scores to personally self-report on his college application form (which may be the Common Application, which you can all view online)

and

b) College Board sends out a single official score report for each student to all colleges for which the student requests such a report, including ALL SAT I and ALL SAT II scores that student has obtained from ninth grade on?

The student who opened this thread is only asking, "Should I write down on my application form a score that will be sent to the college anyway?" and my answer is yes.

Its ok as long as you're not planning to major in the subject - otherwise, retake or your screwed. If your applying for a English major, faililng something like the Physics SAT II wont really matter if you got 750 +'s everywhere else

it depends a lot of schools require the Math II as one of them.

and isnt it kind of out of your control anyway? so not worrying about it would probably be the best option. SAT IIs have a minimal effect anyway

and a 630 isnt THAT low

I should write down the 470 in world history I took way back then, when I had no idea what was going on?

The date of each test is recorded on the score report, and a date a few years ago makes clear you were younger then when you took the earlier test.
