According to the College Board, the University of Maryland, College Park, requires ALL SAT scores to be submitted. I cannot find anything on the University of Maryland web site that says specifically that they require ALL scores to be submitted, but just that they will superscore. Does anyone know for sure whether or not all SAT scores need to be submitted? My daugher will also be calling the admissions office to ask.
The following link give the SAT score policy of each college/university. On page 34, it shows that the UMD policy is “All Scores”.
This means that when you request scores to be sent by the College Board, they will send all scores.
UMD does, in fact, Superscore SAT tests.
Putting your 2 threads together, I am guessing that there were 3+ goes at the SAT, one (or more) disastrous and 2 (or more) that (together) add up to a credible score and you are really really trying to see if there is a way to leave the ‘bad’ ones off?
@centralNJdad - To follow up on what @collegemom3717 said, my D took the SAT several times, and the first one was not that great.
But, ALL of her scores were sent in, and they were superscored. She actually got admitted into the Honors College.
This is discussed in the other thread, but for the sake of being complete:
Therefore, UMD does not require all scores.
You can still use Score Choice (and uncheck scores you do not want sent) regardless of what College Board thinks the college requires.
Thanks for the comments. My daughter has since informed me that she spoke to someone in the U of Maryland admissions office late last week and they told her that it is NOT required to report all scores.
