Hey,

Are Subject tests supposed to be just self reported seeing as they are not required, or must they also be reported officially by college board?

Thanks!

Are SAT IIs no longer required? Is that a new rule? D’s SAT IIs were officially reported by College Board along with her SAT I scores. If she attends, she’ll be a 2015er. I guess it’s possible they changed the rules for the 2016ers.

If you are including them you must have the scores officially sent from College Board. While Stanford says the tests are recommended, not required, the general consensus I’ve read here is that it is best to have SAT IIs to report.

from Stanford’s website: “We recommend (but do not require) that you submit official results of at least two SAT Subject Tests, as these additional scores often assist us in our evaluation process.”

Congrats to your daughter for getting accepted to Stanford! It’s SUCH an awesome school

Thanks, 2blue! I will be reporting 2 tests, and wasn’t entirely sure of the procedure
