Okay, I have two important questions concerning the SAT & ACT test I’ll be taking in October:

If I send the SAT/ACT test scores to colleges BEFORE the scores come up online, how many days will it take for them to receive the scores?

In contrary to question 1, if I send the SAT/ACT test scores to colleges AFTER the scores come up online, how many days will it take for them to receive the scores?

Do not send your scores before they come up online. When you send your scores, even if it's the day before they're supposed to come out online, college board will only send the scores that you see.

Collegeboard and the ACT corp. don't process orders as they come in––they do it in batches. They have one day once ever couple of weeks when they send out a all of the scores that have been ordered together... and since they don't publish those dates, you won't be able to get an answer to your question unless there's someone on CC who's in the know.

RealM - As you can see, I am going to college. I've done this before. This is not an opinion question.

Check the sites of your colleges, and they will list the last test dates. When you sign up for your tests, ask the testing agencies to send your scores to a set of schools (CB will send all of your past scores), and when you get your admission ticket, it will list the schools to which your scores will be sent. And if you test on the date the colleges list, you'll be fine. It really isn't as complicated as you're making it.
